To coincide with the 10th anniversary of the acclaimed novel by Jamie O'Neill, Earthfall revive their award-winning adaptation At Swim Two Boys after a sell out Autumn tour with another full UK run.

Staged entirely in water and set against the background of the Easter Rising in Ireland, this risk-taking, tender and visually stunning production previously toured to sell-out audiences throughout the UK and mainland Europe.

Set in Ireland in 1916, the work portrays the developing love between two young men as they come of age. Played out against the backdrop of political turmoil at home and the slaughter on the Western Front the boys story is a contrasting dream for national liberation and their search for personal freedom.

Earthfall's performance is engulfed in a slowly filling lake beneath a wall of cascading water, with episodes from O'Neill's story woven together through a fusion of extreme physicality, original live music and film.

This is a touchingly nuanced duet, excellently performed.”
Judith Mackrell, The Guardian, Feb 2012

"…An emotionally transparent relationship that in dance terms is filled with tenderness and vigour”
Donald Hutera, The Times, Feb 2012

"It all comes together as an extraordinarily effective and moving piece of theatre.”

"Earthfall combined set design/physical setting (at its best in my opinion!), intense performance and connection to theme, exquisite dancers/performers and movement that made me smile, cry, laugh, gasp and made my heart thump" Audience Review
